How does a water dispenser purify water?
Each cooler runs the water supply through a three-step filtration process that includes carbon filtration, UV purification and BioCote® surface protection.
Carbon Filtration
Step one involves high-performance carbon filtration that helps improve the quality of your drinking water using highly-porous pieces of carbon that remove the impurities that impact the taste, color, and smell of your tap water supply. These impurities can include chlorine, petrochemicals, and other toxins, but the carbon filter will catch them all.
UV Purification
Step two uses microbiological purification with ultraviolet light to eliminate up to 99.9999% bacteria from your drinking water. Firewall™ technology is chemical-free and uses a UV lamp placed at the point of dispense to eradicate microorganisms like E. Coli and salmonella. Firewall™ is the only drinking water UV purification system that has met the strict World Health Organization requirements for Water Treatment Technologies.
BioCote® Sanitation
BioCote® is a silver-based antimicrobial coating that sits on the external surfaces to inhibit the growth of bacteria. It provides an additional layer of sanitization around frequently-touched areas where microbes can colonize such as the buttons or levers. BioCote® complements the other two purification technologies guarantee the highest level of water hygiene.
Is it easy to use a water dispenser?
Our dispensers need little more than for users to press a button to fill their glass
Water dispensers are designed to suit offices, healthcare facilities, and university campuses alike. A bottleless water cooler can help de-clutter a crowded space, removing potential hazards, such as bottles that could fall on children; or cause them to trip up. Additional options include countertop dispensers that are far out of reach of children’s hands for an extra safety measure where required. If you’d like to re-position your unit, then request a qualified Waterlogic technician does so on your behalf.
Water cooler benefits for all to enjoy
When you invest in safe drinking water for your office, you avoid the risks associated with drinking from the tap. According to a study by the Environmental Working Group, there are as many as 22 carcinogens in tap water, including heavy metals and byproducts of disinfectants like chlorine. As recently as January 2019, state monitors revealed around 100 out of 240 samples from Newark's water system had lead levels exceeding the recommended safety threshold; while officials also found high levels of halo-acetic acids: a by-product of the water disinfection process that can cause skin irritation, and potentially, cancer risk. Whether you pour yourself a sparkling water to mix with fresh fruit or brew a cup of coffee, you can rely on enjoying a consistently great taste every time. Furthermore, by offering a supply of drinking water, you can help your employees choose an alternative to fruit juices, cordials, and fizzy drinks.
